Welcome to the home page of kennel Assauwehof which’s in Estonia in a town of Maardu. Kennel Assauwehof was officially registered in 2008. The owner is Irina Sõsoljatina.

"Assauwe" is a historical defensive tower in the Old Town of Tallinn where in the Middle Ages there’s a shepherd’s court yard.

From 2003 up to 2008 the first part of my dog’s names was "Assauwe". That’s the name of kennel, founders of which were Marina Chizevskaja and Svetlana Halisoo but unfortunately Marina left us in 2000 and I became part owner of kennel Assauwe. I decided to quit that in 2008 and founded my own kennel. Now the first part of my dog’s names`s "Assauwehof" - in translation from German it’s "Assauwe Court".

In the period before 2009 I managed to reach very much with my own dog Assauwe Kimberly which’s the titles of Junior Champion of Estonia and Latvia, Adult Champion of Estonia, Latvia and Russia, Inter-Champion and also confirmed all possible working standards of the breed. There are also younger "star"-dogs in the kennel: Assauwe Loretta and Assauwe Latoya. They both have the title of Junior Champion of Estonia and Latvia. We have also growing litters where the first part of puppy’s names are - Assauwe and Assauwehof.

And all began like that...

I got my first dog Eliz Reis in 1990 but due to its bad health condition we couldn’t participate in dog shows and in 1994 it tragically died. My second male dog Olazda Crari Star Vorn or simply Vorik I got in 1995. We participated in dog shows and competitions both in Estonia and Russia with that dog where we got very high results. The dog had very strong nervous system, good character and amazing grip and tempo but it left us on December 10th2006.

In 2001 I got female dog Stark Fassen Agnessa or simply Nessy who became the main breeding female dog of kennel Assauwe. We got the litter of kennel Assauwe in 2003 from mating Nessy and Vorik. It was the 10th officially registered litter of kennel Assauwe and it gave us beautiful and healthy puppies.

For me my dogs are the members of the family, friends and companions - that’s why we would like to see the same attitude towards our puppies from the owners. I do breeding only for the sake of loving dogs but not getting any profit. I prefer to get healthy, lifeloving dogs with strong working abilities and qualities.

German shepherd is a unique breed which was totally formed for a very short period of time. This is one of the most widely-known breeds in our country as well as in the whole world. These dogs could be considered as the most clever, true, brave and gorgeous animals. German shepherd is out of competition as the dogs are very easily trained and really adopted to the life together with the people. If you choose German shepherd to be your family pet and spend enough time for its training you’re sure to get reliable and sincere friend and defender.
